BNI Cares-Australian Bushfires GoFundMe Campaign
The 2019/20 summer fires were the worst that Australia had experienced. People were losing homes and businesses. Some communities were wiped out. BNI Foundation’s mission is to support children and education.
The Foundation recognized that it will be a long road back to recovery for the families. BNI Foundation decided to raise funds through a GoFundMe campaign. The money would be used to help get children back to school with new uniforms, books, shoes and other supplies that they needed. The aim was to help family’s rebuild and lessen a bit of the stress their children were experiencing with getting ready for the start of school.
BNI Foundation raised $12,123 from BNI International and Australian friends!
One of the areas hardest hit, Shoalhaven Region NSW, has a BNI Chapter in the community of Conjola Park. Through referrals from chapter members, BNI Foundation provided 5 grants to individual families, each with school aged children.
BNI Foundation is grateful to the area’s Executive Director, Paul English, for getting the Foundation involved in the Conjola Park community. The Foundation is also thankful to BNI Members Robert Richards, Letitia Manley, Anthony Fondacaro and Jemma Roach for referring families for grants.

BNI Foundation wishes all the families affected by the Bushfires well in their recovery.
